Piyawadana

There is not a method to overturn the certainty of death, like a lamp running out of oil in the darkness of night. In respect to that, oneself with courage cannot turn back death, the strength and great power of Vishnu, tigers, lions, snakes, and so forth, cannot subdue death. Even the power and capability of oneself is unable to overturn death. Death is without escape like someone who has swallowed poison.
