Simultaneously, the Sanskrit tradition was eloquently represented by Tibetan Buddhist monks, emphasizing the diverse linguistic and cultural arena found in Buddhism.

This year’s exchange program promises a unique blend of academic discourse, spiritual exploration, and cross-cultural understanding. As the monks engage in scholarly discussions, they will explore Pali and Sanskrit languages which Buddhist scriptures are mostly written. Beyond the academic importance of the event, this also provides a platform for these monks to share their respective cultural practices, traditions, and perspectives.

The Foundation for Buddhist Brotherhood, as the driving force behind this exchange program from Sri Lanka, envisions a harmonious convergence of ideas and practices that will contribute to the global dissemination of Buddhist wisdom. Through initiatives like these, the foundation seeks to strengthen the bonds among Buddhist communities around the world, creating a sense of brotherhood and mutual respect.
