According to Buddhism, the ruler of a country should be righteous to bring prosperity and success to the respective land and its people through a pious governance by practicing and obeying ‘Cakkavatti Governing Concepts’ (Noble duties of a universal king); ‘Dasa Rāja Dhamma’ (Tenfold Virtues); ‘Satara Sangraha Wastu’ (Four Entities of Offerings) ‘Satara Agati’ (Four Unprofitable Directions) and ‘Sapta Aparihāni Dhamma’ (Seven Rules Governing Conduct).
Let’s join hands in wishing the new President of Sri Lanka all the strength, courage you need to provide great leadership to the country by following the noble principles taught by the Buddha.
