Under the direction of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the Pāli and Sanskrit International Bhikkhu Exchange Program commenced in Bodh Gaya to create mutual understanding between the traditions in 2022. Accordingly, the third phase of the Pali and Sanskrit International Bhikkhu Exchange Program, a month-long calendar of activities, is scheduled to commence in India on the 21st of December. Accordingly, a discussion of the upcoming event and a Seth Pirith Sajjayana was organized on the 15th of December for the benefit of the Bhikkhus who will be taking part in this august event at Heiyanthuduwa Pali and Sanskrit Cultural Exchange Center. The program was chaired by the chief abbot of Mahopadhyaya, President of the International Buddhist Confederation and Mahanayake of Sri Sambuddha Sasanodaya Sangha Sabha,Most Ven. Dr. Waskaduwe Mahindawansa Mahanayake Thero and Most Ven.Dr.Madampagama Assaji, the Mahanayake Thero of Ambagahapitiya chapter of Sri Lanka Amarapura Maha Nikaya. This event was an initiative of Dr. Damenda Porage, Founder, President of Pali and Sanskrit Cultural Exchange Center and Deputy Secretary General of the International Buddhist Confederation and Dr Mrs Shermila Milroy, Registrar of Pali and Sanskrit Cultural Exchange Center
